The working principle of the sanitary pneumatic welded butterfly valve is based on the driving of the butterfly plate by the pneumatic actuator. When the pneumatic actuator receives the signal from the control system, it controls the compressed air to enter different chambers of the actuator according to the type of signal (such as pneumatic signal or pneumatic signal converted from electrical signal). For double-acting actuators, by controlling the intake and exhaust at both ends of the cylinder, the piston reciprocates within the cylinder, thereby driving the valve stem and butterfly plate to rotate. For single-acting actuators, the butterfly plate is usually closed under the action of spring return, while opening is accomplished by pushing the piston with compressed air. When the butterfly plate rotates parallel to the pipe axis, the valve is fully open and the medium can flow freely in the pipe. When the butterfly plate rotates 90° to be perpendicular to the pipe axis, the valve is completely closed, cutting off the flow of the medium. By precisely controlling the movement of the pneumatic actuator, the butterfly plate can be positioned at different angles, thereby precisely regulating the flow of the medium.
